These crispy air fryer chicken tenders are juicy on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside, making them a favorite for dinner or a quick snack!

- 1 pound chicken tenders
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine chicken tenders and buttermilk. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Remove chicken tenders from buttermilk, letting excess drip off, and then coat each tender in the flour mixture.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the coated chicken tenders in a single layer. Lightly spray the tops with more cooking spray.
- Cook in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken tenders are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).
- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispy tenders, you can double dip the chicken in buttermilk and then flour.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauces like ranch, honey mustard, or BBQ.
