Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 red onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the cubed chicken to the marinade and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight in the refrigerator.
  3. Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes if using to prevent burning.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Thread the marinated chicken, bell pepper, and red onion onto the skewers, alternating between chicken and vegetables.
  6. Place the skewers in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not overcrowded.
  7. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, turning halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice golden color.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add additional vegetables like zucchini or cherry tomatoes.
  • If you prefer a slightly charred flavor, you can broil the kabobs for 1-2 minutes after air frying.
