Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the egg and add the olive oil, mixing well.
- Slice the chicken breasts into cutlets if they are not already cut.
- Dip each chicken cutlet into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then coat it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
- Place the coated chicken cutlets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
