  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

These delightful cupcakes are decorated with beautiful floral designs, making them the perfect treat for Mother’s Day. They’re not just a feast for the eyes but also deliciously moist and flavorful.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttercream frosting
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Edible flowers or sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.
  5. Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely on a wire rack.
  8. Once cooled, use a piping bag to frost the cupcakes with buttercream frosting.
  9. Divide the frosting into separate bowls and add food coloring to each bowl to create different colors.
  10. Use different piping tips to create beautiful floral designs on the cupcakes.
  11. Finish by decorating the cupcakes with edible flowers or sprinkles.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize the cupcake flavors by adding cocoa powder for chocolate cupcakes or citrus zest for a refreshing twist.
  • For a more intricate design, practice piping techniques on parchment paper before decorating the actual cupcakes.
