Celebrate Independence Day with these delicious and visually stunning 4th of July desserts that will impress your friends and family.


Ingredients

  • 1 box of red velvet cake mix
  • 1 box of blue raspberry gelatin
  • 1 container of whipped cream
  • 1 cup of fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup of fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup of mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup of white chocolate chips
  • Sprinkles in red, white, and blue

Instructions

  1. Prepare the red velvet cake according to package instructions and bake in a 9×13 inch pan. Allow to cool completely.
  2. Once the cake is cooled, use a fork to crumble it into a large bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, prepare the blue raspberry gelatin according to package instructions. Allow to set until firm.
  4. Cut the set gelatin into small cubes.
  5. In a large trifle dish or individual cups, layer the crumbled red velvet cake, blue raspberry gelatin cubes, whipped cream, strawberries, blueberries, and marshmallows.
  6. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of whipped cream on top.
  7. Sprinkle white chocolate chips and festive sprinkles over the top.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

  • You can substitute with any red and blue fruits of your choice.
  • Make sure to use unsweetened whipped cream for a less sweet dessert.
  • This dessert can be made a day in advance; just add the sprinkles right before serving.
